Creating a Hydrological Model to Determine Maximum Runoff from a Small Catchments
Hakl, Petr ; Pospíšilík, Šimon (referee) ; Menšík, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to set a hydrology model based on existed methodology DesQ-MaxQ, which comes from "Designing flows from a very small catchments" established in 1989. The model is able to set a nearest meteorology station and his 24-hours rainfall depths for periods of repetition 2,5,10,20,50 and 100 years. Substitute rainfall depths are set by "reduction of 24-hours rainfall depths" methodology. According to hydraulic and hydrology conditions of catchment, duration of the critical rains for each period of repetition are set also peak flow rates and total runoffs from the catchment. Application can work in two modes - "one slope" and "two slopes". The second option also includes calculation of design duration for the model catchment and superposition of hydrograph. Application RainRunoff was develop in C# programming language with graphic user interface and option to exports hydrographs.
Analysis of erosion and runoff conditions in the Rozdrojovický stream watershed
Hegenbart, Vlastimil ; Pavlík, František (referee) ; Dumbrovský, Miroslav (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the area with regard to erosion and runoff conditions and the transport of sediments into the Brno dam. The erosion calculation is carried out in two variants when the R-factor is changed. The USLE equations were used for the erosion calculation. The analytical work is carried out in ArcGIS software, where critical profiles with the corresponding collection areas were determined and then erosion and peak flows calculated on them and the erosion shear and basic characteristics of direct runoff were calculated. The DesQ-MaxQ program was used to calculate the flows in each catchment. The result of the work is an analysis of the area in terms of erosive shear to the Brno dam.
Proposal of documentation of the technical solution of the system of soil erosio control and flood protective measures in the cadastral area of Mazorníkovo
Štulajterová, Laura ; Pavlík, František (referee) ; Dumbrovský, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the erosion and runoff conditions in Mazorníkovo and its surroundings, in the cadastral area of Brezno in variants comparing the current state and the prediction of the state in 2050 as a result of climate change. The part of the analysis was also a detailed draft of adaptive protective measures, including the documentation of the technical solution.
Studie odtokových poměrů vybraného povodí pomocí hydrologického modelování
Gottwaldová, Petra
The diploma thesis "Study of runoff conditions of selected river basin using hydrological modeling" deals with analysis of runoff conditions and retention abilities of the Kašnice stream basin in the Břeclav district. The theoretical part deals with the literature review of the issue and the characteristics of the selected drainage area. Obtained information about surface cover types, hydrologic soil groups and CN curves numbers were processed in ArcGIS. The outputs were then used as input for the DesQ-MAXQ hydrological model. The resulting values of specific flow, time of concentration, potential retention, water retention and direct runoff volumes are presented in the form of attached map outputs. The result of the work is the evaluation of runoff conditions of the given 4th order river basin.
Analýza odtokových poměrů ve vybraném povodí
Dufek, Václav
The diploma thesis analyzes and evaluates the drainage conditions together with the retention potential of the landscape in the parts of the Bělský potok basin, which is located in the south of the Pardubice Region. The theoretical part of the thesis contains the elaborated literary research on the basis of the study of the specialized literature mentioned on the given issue, and also the characterization of the selected river basin. The practical part includes processing of underlying materials and data preparation in ArcGIS 10.3.1 using the ArcMap, ArcCatalog and ArcToolbox integrated applications suite. Processed data are the input information for the calculation of hydrological characteristics by the DesQ-MAXQ model. The resulting calculated values of maximum flows, specific flows, potential retention in the basin, concentration time, amount of water retained for each sub-basin are presented in the form of map outputs.

Vyhodnocení základních hydrologických charakteristik vybraného povodí
Kundrátová, Klára
The diploma thesis is focused on rainfall-runoff relations of Srní potok (stream) basin. The input data were processed in the ArcGIS software. There was used hydrological model DesQ-MAXQ to evaluate retention potential in Srní potok basin. The thesis includes literature overview dealing with a water retention in a landscape and describing basic hydrological characteristics (a potential retention in the basin, a water flow, a water outfall, the time of concentration, the volume of a flood wave). A practical part of the thesis describes a characteristic of the interested basin, a preparation and a processing of the input data. There is evaluated the retention potential and a drainage conditions in the Srni potok basin in the conclusion. The outputs from the DesQ-MAXQ hydrological model describing the hydrological characteristics of the basin were graphically presented by map outputs created in the ArcGIS software.
